“Elephant Freedom”

We have teamed up with this amazing community and family to help make their dream a reality. Preserving the jungle villages, cultural richness, indigenous tribes, and the freedom of both man and animal living within this region is their mission and ours. The region of Mae Taeng is a wonder to behold but it is quickly being taken over by unwelcome corporations.

Our Eco-Tourism Project is working to provide power and financial support back to these local communities. Elephant Freedom has partnered up with the best LOCALLY OWNED businesses, which are also the most sustainable and humane! Directing tourists to these local businesses will produce a more indepth, authentic, and educational experience.  

We are working towards rescuing and rehabilitating elephants from traumatic backgrounds by giving them a safe haven to live, with freedom of choice. We hope to someday acquire enough protected land to open a rehab and release program for able elephants.

Our efforts also include building a community school out of fully sustainable earth bricks. This facility will provide international universities and educators with the opportunity to teach  basic english classes to all ages throughout their stay with our program.

Working with the village’s only organic farm, serving the Monks weekly meals at the Temple, and hosting routine village clean ups and recycling initiatives are just a few of the many steps this Eco-Tourism program is taking to save the region of Mae Taeng.

Our goal is to help educate tourists about what is really going on in this region of the world. EF gets them involved in the community and shows them, first hand, how precious this way of life is within this highly threatened ecosystem.
